Lets Do Lunch Leather

Hello loves! Today's post is all about one of my favorite staple items; leather jackets. Having your LLJ (little leather jacket) is just as important as the classic LBD. Todays post is also extra special because it is a collaboration with one of my favorite fashionistas, Casey. Were going to show you two completely different ways to style a leather jacket. Her links will be below!

I chose to go more dressy with my look. I love the sweater dress paired with the leather jacket because its unexpected, especially with the turtle neck detail. I've been loving knee highs lately, so I kept it all back with knee highs and a pair of simple ankle booties. Leather + all black = how could you go wrong? idk. Just more fashion math.

Jacket, sweater dress, knee highs: Forever 21
Ankle booties: LC Lauren Conrad
Clutch: H&M
Sunnies: Guess

Check out how Casey went casual with her LLJ and her outfit details on her blog: embrace-your-story.blogspot.com

Hope you all enjoyed! Make sure to check out Casey's Blog, her looks are always on point. Instagram: @casecorradinn. What is your favorite way to style a leather jacket?!

What is better than brunch?

Sunday is my favorite day of the week. It is time to wind down from the weekend and recharge yourself to kick butt the rest of the week. Plus, Sundays normally involve brunch. And what is better than brunch?

Here was my outfit last Sunday! I love this outfit because it looks really put together but it is comfortable still! I love this sweater I recently received as a gift, it is from Forever 21. It's super soft, has movement to it and I have been loving the turtle neck detail. These ripped black jeans add a touch of edge to the whole look. I love mixing different elements together to add something unexpected to a look. These wedges are perfect because they still give you extra height (which your girl could use) and they are so comfortable. Last but not least, you can never go wrong with an oversized and structured bag. I love the gold hard wear on this one from Just Fab.

Top: Forever 21
Pants: American Eagle
Shoes: Target
Bag: Just Fab
Bangles: Alex and Ani, H&M

P.S. I found an amazing brunch spot so I figured I had to share! Local Table in Downtown LA has delicious brunch food and it is the cutest little place. They serve brunch 9am-3pm. I would call ahead to make a reservation because they tend to be packed so reservations just work best. I got their french toast which I highly recommend. It had salted caramel drizzle on it, need I say more?

Hope you all have an amazing week and an even better Sunday (fun day) coming up!

4 Shades of Grey

Hello loves! First off...happy 2015!
Grey is one of my favorite colors to wear, so no surprise I've been obsessed with layering different shades of it. I traveled home for the holidays where it is much colder than Los Angeles, so I picked up this grey knit coat from Forever 21 to layer and have been loving it (it goes with almost everything). I paired it with a textured grey sweater to add some dimension to the look. These black jeans have been my go-to jeans this winter especially paired with ankle booties. I finished the look off with gold accessories because gold + Marc Jacobs = heaven. Fashion math, idk...makes sense to me.

Coat, sweater and booties: Forever 21.
Jeans: American Eagle.
Gold ring and watch: Marc Jacobs.
Aviator sunglasses: Melrose Trading Post.

5 Fall Fashion Must-Haves

Hello loves! Here is a video from my YouTube channel on my 5 Fall Fashion Must-Haves! This part of the year is my favorite; I love fall and winter. Fall fashion and makeup is my favorite! So here are my top 5 fall fashion must haves.

1. Plaid & Flannels - Plaid scarves, shirts, vests, anything! One of my favorite things to do is mix plaid with leather. I usually combine the two by adding a leather jacket over top of a plaid shirt or a leather skirt with a plaid shirt tucked in (with tights and boots for when the colder weather approaches us.)

2. Leather - First of all, leather is my favorite detail to add in an outfit all year round because it automatically spices the outfit up. Especially for fall time; leather jackets, leggings, pants or skirts are a must-have in my wardrobe.

3. Floppy Hats - I am normally not a huge hat person but for some reason I am really into hats this season. Time to trade in your summer floppy hat for a fall floppy hat, which is super on trend. When I say "fall floppy hat" I mean the kind like the one featured in my video above. One that is made out of felt or wool of some sort, not a straw beach floppy hat. If you aren't so into the big floppy hat trend you could always opt for a knit beanie which I also love for fall.

4. High Waisted Jeans - Yes, I know most of us love our high waisted shorts for summer but you can carry that trend into fall with high waisted jeans! I love pairing them with cropped sweaters and ankle booties, fall perfection.

5. Ankle Booties - Speaking of ankle booties..they are my fifth and final fashion must-have for fall! The ones featured in my video are from LC Lauren Conrad's line with Kohl's and have a heel to them. There are many other options out there if you aren't comfortable with a heel and wanted a more casual shoe like the second pair featured in my video above. Ankle booties can be dressed up with tights and a skirt and cute top or styled casually with jeans and a flannel. Either way you choose, they are definitely my must-have shoe for the season.

Hope you all enjoyed the video and my top 5 fall fashion must-haves!

California Fall..

Hello loves! With this being my first fall in Southern California my mind is still set on the East Coast fall weather...total opposite of what has been going on in LA lately. So, as I would normally be reaching for my over-sized sweaters and scarves, that will not be very fitting for the 90 degree weather here. But don't get me wrong I love the perfect weather here, this brings a new opportunity to spice up my fall wardrobe (or an excuse to go shopping) for a sunny SoCal "fall." :)

Here is an outfit I put together that is perfect for fall in LA.

Currently obsessed with floppy hats for fall! I got this one at the Melrose Trading Post and it was $25.  I've seen ones just like this one at H&M, Forever 21 and Zara. They are all over right now. The boho pants are perfect for fall in warmer areas because they are super lightweight. I love these ones for fall because of the cranberry-ish color in them. I opted for a black lightweight tank top to tie in the black from the boho pants and the black hat. Since I won't be layering clothes right now in Southern California I decided to layer dainty gold bracelets and necklaces. And of course my favorite fall lip color to complete the look.

If you live in a colder climate I would pair a black cropped sweater or a cardigan over this outfit!

Hat- Melrose Trading Post
Top- One Clothing
Pants- Charlotte Russe
Clutch- Steve Madden
Jewelry- Grandma's Jewelry Box & Melrose Trading Post
Lip Color- Deepest Cherry by Maybelline Color Burst

What is your favorite fall outfit?!

Makeup Madness

Hello loves! I recently posted a video on my YouTube channel that was highly requested about my makeup collection and storage! So I figured I'd share on here also. Disclaimer: this video is not to brag or show off it was simply requested. Plus I love seeing how other people organize their makeup so when I found a good set up for my makeup I wanted to share. Now that the boring stuff is over..lets get into it!

Here is the YouTube Video I posted on my makeup collection and storage!

I got the acrylic organizers from Marshall's. The lipstick holders were around $10.00 and the 3 drawers one was $15.00. I had been looking for something to organize my makeup so when I saw them I had to pick them up. They also have a ton of similar ones on Amazon or Ebay if you just search "Acrylic makeup organizers." I love how they are clear because 1. you can see your options without digging through all the drawers. 2. Makeup is pretty.

I hold my brushes in an old Bath and Body works candle! Heres a quick DIY:
When I was done with the candle I froze it (to get the wax hard.) Then I dug out all the wax with a butter knife. Then wash out the candle container to get all the sticky glue off and of course peel off the label of the candle. Then I painted a layer of clear mod podge on the INSIDE of the container and then sprinkled silver glitter evenly while the mod podge was still wet. Then let dry for a few hours and you have a pretty sparkly container! To hold my makeup brushes I filled the inside of the container with small clear beads and then just stuck my brushes into the container. Voila! Quick and easy DIY.

How do you store your makeup?!
